The book is easy to read for many parents who have young kids picking up this difficult sport. What I particularly liked were those issues relating to choosing kids clubs and basic introduction to golf without getting to deep into the mechanics of a golf swing. I can relate very much to your philosophy of keeping this game fun for the kids and it’s really an important point for keeping up their interest level long enough to really learn the game.

The interview with Aubrey Linville provided an interesting perspective that reinforces some of your points. As you may know, I am coaching my 4 year old and I have noted your advice on that relationship issues as well. As your child learns golf the right way, and is able to spend more time with you in the golf course, he/she will experience a boost in self worth that will stay with him or her for ever. Golfing with your son or daughter will allow you to connect with your child and make YOU their centre of attention!

I have always wanted to do what I can to help kids get an opportunity to learn more about golf than just hitting a golf ball 400 yds.

So I applaud your efforts in your guide to approach telling people all that is involved with learning the game of golf. I am certain your efforts will get more people off on a better foot to learning golf the right way.

Your approach to advising the parents of their position of supporter is outstanding. I would like to add, that… Read more…
